Steve concentrates his practice in personal injury and wrongful death, including automobile crashes, tractor-trailer crashes, civil rights claims (excessive force, false arrest), medical malpractice, and slip-and-fall cases. He also handles criminal defense — DWIs, felonies, and federal criminal matters.
Steve was born and raised in Kennett, Missouri (where he went to school with a young Sheryl Crow — he was a senior; she was in pre-K). He received his B.A. from the University of Missouri–Columbia in 1976 and his law degree shortly after. He has practiced law throughout Missouri for more than 50 years, including civil and criminal cases in courts across the state. He was formerly a partner at Moore, Walsh & Albright before founding Walsh Law Firm in January 2014.
Steve has served the Poplar Bluff Lion's Club as Eyeglass Chairman for 38 years and chairs the club's annual fundraising concert. He has been part of the Butler County community for his entire career.
