$60,000 Settlement

False Imprisonment / Racial Discrimination at Wal-Mart

Settlement · February 2014

The client was a customer at the Wal-Mart in Kennett, Missouri when an Assistant Supervisor claimed he was stalking/harassing her. Criminal charges were filed and he was found not guilty of stalking. The client claimed that the Assistant Supervisor was the one doing the stalking and had personal problems that affected her work at Wal-Mart. He was arrested for violating the "trespassing ban" of the store. During discovery no "trespassing ban" could be found. The case was mediated in February of 2014 and later settled for $60,000.00. The Assistant Supervisor is no longer with Wal-Mart.
