Uninsured Motorist Settlement — Disabled Pedestrian

G.W. was traveling in the city limits of Poplar Bluff and he was hit by an uninsured motorist. He is a 69 year-old disabled man with a very complicated pre-crash medical history.

His doctors talked about the possibility of surgery and that possibility still exists but, as of the time of the settlement, he had been treated conservatively and surgery was not scheduled.

Steve Walsh of the firm, had known G.W. for over 30 years, having worked with him in the Poplar Bluff Park Department where the client was a referee/umpire for youth basketball and baseball. The client’s grandson was also in the car and suffered minor injuries; his case was settled for a confidential amount.

Because the negligent driver was driving without insurance, the client’s Uninsured Motorist Coverage was used and settled for the policy limits.
